Review Copies

Please do not send me review copies.  I’m no longer podcasting, and I doubt I’ll be blogging again any time in the near future.  Thanks for your support in the past, but I have to focus on my real life now.

Over It

I’m sure that many of you have noticed that I haven’t been podcasting or blogging lately.  Well, I’ve been working on a temp assignment that has me in front of a computer for 50 hours a week.  Then I have a weekend job that takes up another 8 hours of my time.  However, for the past 3 weeks, it’s taken up another 16 hours of my time.  Essentially, I’ve been working 65-70 hour weeks.  Oh, and I’ve been looking for a full-time job — a job search that involves using my computer.

So, I’m a bit tired of looking at a computer screen.  I’m sure that you all understand.  However, my podcasting co-host doesn’t understand.  She’s accused me of “abandonning” her and not treating her with respect by not doing the podcasts.  Um, excuse me?  Am I not allowed a life?  Guess not.

What I’m trying to say is that my podcasting career is over for now.  I need to focus more on my real life.  Instead of focusing all my energy on my Second Life (TM), I need to work on getting my career going.  I’m no artist, designer, or programmer, so I can’t do that in Second Life (TM).  At this point, I’m not even sure how much time I’ll have for SL for a while.  I know that you’ll understand.

Help!!!

I just downloaded the new viewer, and it’s got windlight!  Can anyone recommend a good face lamp that works with the default settings?  I’m all gray and wrinkly. 😦  If I’m going to come back to blogging, I have to relearn basic lighting and it may take a little while.

On Hiatus

My blog is going on hiatus.  Nothing’s really inspired me lately and I’m thinking of taking an SL break.  I’ll still meet my current commitments, but I won’t be taking on any more in the near future.

Frills and Curls

I was bored today so I did a little shopping.  I visited Cake hopping for new hair, and there it was!  Berlin is a gorgeous, shoulder-length curly style with soft, side-swept bangs.  There’s also a longer version called Faith, though that may have been released before Berlin.  I also found a fancy frilly blouse at Bare Rose in the Fantasy set.  You get the blouse in several different colors along with a pair of high-waisted pants.  I thought I’d try the blouse with a pencil skirt for a different look.

I saw these jumpsuits on the mannequins at Armidi Limited, and they looked a little, um, well, bootylicious.  I thought I’d give one a try to see if they would give my otherwise slender avatar a bit of a boost in back.  So, what do you think?

Please Don’t Hide Cute New Clothes

It took me about four tries to find the new Shelter line of clothing at The Closet.  In her blog, designer Bambi63 Rehula said that the Shelter line would be hidden in the basement of The Closet, but she didn’t say where that was.  In fact, she seemed to delight in the fact that hapless (um, er, lazy) customers like me may not be able to find the new line of clothing!  Designers please, don’t hide your new releases from me!  I have almost no camera skills, making hunting for new releases maddening!

Royal Blue (semi-NSFW, at least, as NSFW as I’ll get here)

I saw the Bettle Juice suit by Marni Grut of Royal Blue and I couldn’t help but think of this 1960’s swimsuit by designer Rudi Gernreich.

Am I right?  I love the suit, but I’d recommend wearing a cute tee shirt or something underneath.  Or, go Sienna Miller and wear a fancy blouse and top hat with it.
