The Truth Doesn’t Always Have to Hurt

Especially when it looks this good!  Have you ever gone to your closet in the morning looking for your favorite SL garment?  I almost looked for Truth‘s Gypsy Coat the other day.  It would have been perfect for a chilly fall day.  It comes with a cute little hood, though I chose to wear it without the hood here.  At least I can have it in SL!

I’m also wearing LF Fashions‘ Trusty jeans; Paper Couture‘s Railway top; Shiny Things‘ Sleek Laceup boots; Earthtones‘ Feuille Naturelle necklace; Armidi‘s Milano hair; Tete a Pied‘s Vivant Automne skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

I Just Couldn’t Resist!

When I saw CKS Designs‘ Annabel sweater sitting in my review copy folder waiting to be discussed on Second Style Stylecast, I just couldn’t resist it’s coziness.  Who wouldn’t want to curl up by a roaring fire in a soft cardigan with matching thigh-high stockings?  Not I!

I also had a bit of a Creamshop binge!  I picked up the new Balloon Pleats skirts, tights, Check Charm Stole, and Skull Rhinestone earrings!  I’m convinced that every time I wear something this cute, an angel gets its wings!

I’m also wearing MG Fashion‘s Outono sweater; Shiny Things‘ Clompies shoes; ETD‘s Willis hair; Cake‘s Sierra skin; and Lemon’s Oh Marie shape.

I Don’t Usually Do This, But . . .

I’m giving you all a view of my backside. How else would you see the lace-up details on these new Nymphetamine’s stockings? Not to mention the garter belts that show Paeoti’s curve-consciousness! I remember her saying that she knew how to design for curves when Daphne and I interviewed her on Going Broke way back when we first began the show. Here, you can see how the garter belts are drawn to curve around my curves. I’m sure that there are designers out there who would have drawn them straight and just counted on an avie’s shape to take care of curving them, but Paeoti Pomeray isn’t one of those designers. Every detail in her new In Effect mix and match set is lovingly drawn. I love all of Pae’s designs, but this one is truly special.

I also wanted to show a side of Roslin Petion’s Tete a Pied Vivant Boudoir skins I wouldn’t usually show you. This skin is perfect for showing off your curves. The shading emphasizes feminine curves by not over emphasizing bone structure. Frankly, I think that this skin along with Haver Cole’s Lemon Oh Marie shape makes my ass look spectacular! Of course, the lift I’m getting from Melanie Zhao’s Zhao Sadie shoes helps! Oh, and did anyone notice that I’ve gone blonde today? That’s Elikapeka Tiramisu’s ETD Jessica hair, and the perfect buttery blonde shade is called Sunny.

The Very Picture of Innocence

I’m all over new Dutch Touch like white on rice — on white rice, not brown rice,  or wild rice, you know.  But I just had to run to Dutch Touch when I saw how cute Iki Ikarus’ new pUk dress was.  I love the yoke on the top and the ruffly tiered cotton skirt.  Even in the torn fishnets, I’m the image of innocence and light.  Sure, I am.

I’m wearing the dress (which of course came with the fishnets) with Beckenbauer‘s 16″ Oi boots; Earthtones new Feuille Naturale earrings and cuff (which in brass reminds me of an autumn weekend in England); ETD‘s Holly hair; Cake‘s Sierra skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

After my trip to visit Daph on Edloe, I’m very tired.  So, I slipped into something more comfortable to relax a bit.  Of course, it’s getting a bit chilly, so I had to bundle up.

Camilla Yosuke of Insolence sent me her new Laure outfit.  This beautiful corset and garters ensemble comes in five colors and is accented with the most adorable tiny bows!  I also wore the jacket from Casa del Shai‘s Le Smoking Croc Tux for men, just to stay warm, of course.  This outfit also comes with a big, soft fur collar, coat tails, and of course, a dress shirt, tie and trousers.  However, I didn’t want to completely cover Camilla’s delicate lace.  The silky crocodile jacket already covers the touchable velvet panels in back!

I’m also wearing Lassitude & Ennui‘s Irina necklace and earrings; Zhao‘s Miabella stilettos; ETD‘s Lannah hair; Celestial Studios‘ Classic Glitter skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

So, I Spent the Weekend at Daphne’s House . . .

and I think she may have rubbed off a bit on me.  Yes, I was at the Castle d’Edloe this weekend for a conference.  Madison Carnot was there, too, and we shared a turret.  I don’t think we were there very long, but with all the Absinthe that we drank, we can really tell.  Somehow, I left the castle with an urge to wrap myself in black velvet and lace.

I chose Draconic Kiss‘s  Black Velvet Lolita dress with Shiny Things‘ Clompies.  I accented my look with Chapeau Tres Mignon‘s Cameo brooch; ETD‘s Alina hair; Cake‘s Jessica skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

Cherry, Cherry

My friend Madison Carnot loves things with cherries on them.  Cherry jewelry, cherry prints, Zhao’s Alexis shoes, etc.  She can’t get enough!  Of course, she doesn’t wear them all at once.  But this outfit was inspired by her, as well as a blog post earlier today showcasing new things from Tres Blah!  Tomorrow, I’ll put together an outfit inspired by my friend and podcasting buddy Daphne Abernathy.

I’m wearing Tres Blah!‘s new jumper with Tree of Second Life‘s Bing Bang Cherry boots.  I’m also wearing The Body Politik‘s Baby Tee; Artilleri‘s Double Cherry earrings and necklace; Artilleri‘s Rita hair; Tete a Pied‘s Vivant Pin-Up skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

Cause I’m a Gentleman

Your attention, please

Understand, do you understand?
Understand, I’m a gentleman.*

Yes, Mr. Dulli, we understand. Indeed, we do.

I’m wearing the shirt from Savvy?‘s Ghosts Are outfit; the skirt from Kyoot Army‘s The Last Mobstress outfit; the soon-to-be-released Zhao Xinful boots; Muse‘s Claris black pearl earrings; Paper Couture‘s Diamond Logo Tennis Bracelet; Coif’s Gentleman hair (sorry, I don’t have a SLurl for you, tell Paulie Tamale to make a listing for it in the places search!  Otherwise, it’s in his picks); Tete a Pied‘s Vivant Pin-Up skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

These Boots Were Made for Walkin’

Iota Ultsch of Tres Jolie introduced me to a friend of hers last night named Bax Coen. Bax is a very talented designer who makes killer boots (available at Scorpion’s Mall)! She was very upset because someone apparently copied her designs, including the very detailed fitting instructions that come with each pair. She gave me a few pairs so that I could see exactly what was being copied and these are gorgeous boots! Any suggestions for actions Bax could take against the copier (whose name I do not know) would be appreciated.

I thought Bax’s boots would look great with Persona‘s Tame outfit (which now also comes in Tiger and Zebra print!); Miam Miam‘s Feather earrings (which come in a set with a pendant); ETD‘s Vivian hair; Cake‘s Sierra skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.

Bax’s boots come in a variety of fabrics, leathers, and animal prints! The black, Cheetah, and Snakeskin are my favorites!

Who’s Yer Nana?

Another trip to GRANDMA!, another great retro look! The dress is actually called retro-HONEY, though my Grandma called me Dolly or Darling Dearie.

By the way, my friend Madison Carnot and I were just chosen to be FACES models and we couldn’t be more excited! I look forward to working with all of the others who were chosen as well as FACES management and staff. But for now, I’m one smokin’ Granny!

Along with retro-DOLLY, er, ah retro-HONEY, I’m wearing 1-800-Bettie‘s Tango sandals; Yummy’s Vintage Rose Locket (I believe they may be closed while something is happening on the Tableau sim — if anyone knows if they’ve relocated, please let me know!); Fashionably Dead‘s Grandma’s Pearl earrings; Artilleri‘s Greta glasses; Calla‘s Sage hair; Cake‘s Sierra skin; and Lemon‘s Oh Marie shape.
